Sponsorship
The National Marine Educators Association (NMEA) 2008 Conference Committee invites you to participate in and give your support to our annual conference to be held July 21-24, 2008 in Savannah, Georgia. NMEA 2008: One World, One Water is expected to attract up to 600 marine educators from across the nation and world. Conference attendees are dynamic classroom and informal educators who teach their students through engaging methods and activities. One World, One Water will feature presenters and keynote speakers who will help these educators gain critical information about marine and aquatic science and will provide them with new activities to use.
The conference will be held at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront on River Street and near Historic Savannah. All concurrent sessions and keynote presentations will take place at this location. One evening event, including a low country boil and starlight dancing, is planned for the Skidaway Marine Science campus. Key themes of One World, One Water are: International Year of the Reef, Ocean Literacy, and Georgia Fisheries. Our most recognizable keynote speaker is Fabien Cousteau who will close out the conference with his captivating images of his ocean explorations and research and through his fascinating speech on the state of the ocean.
We invite you to recognize these deserving educators by supporting NMEA 2008 at a level that is suitable for you. There are specific events that may be underwritten as well.
