The National Marine Educators Association (NMEA) Conference is coming to Savannah, Georgia, July 21-24, 2008 and we invite you to attend as an exhibitor for this exciting event.  This year’s conference One World, One Water is sponsored by the Georgia Association of Marine Education (GAME).  Educators and marine scientists from across the nation and around the world gather each summer at the NMEA conference to make professional connections, share innovative ideas, and learn about new resources, tools and technologies for use in classrooms, laboratories, and education programs.  NMEA members share a common passion for the “world of water – both fresh and salt.”  NMEA 2008:  One World, One Water will be a wonderful opportunity for you or your organization to reach out to this dynamic group of educators.  The conference will team cutting-edge research with innovative education and will focus on marine science and Georgia’s take on marine education and collaboration. Conference themes include: The International Year of the Reef, Ocean Literacy, estuarine ecosystems and fisheries.

The Details
Exhibited materials should be related to marine and aquatic education and research. Exhibits will be held Monday through Wednesday in the Pre-function Area of the Savannah Marriott Riverfront. Exhibits may be set up on Sunday, July 20, 5:00 pm -8:00 pm. Exhibits will be open at 8:00 am each morning and close at 4:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday exhibits will be open from 8:00 am -2:00 pm. Exhibits must be broken down and cleared by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2008.

The Exhibitor Fee, which is separate from the required Conference Registration, is $200 for profit and $150 for non-profit exhibitors. This fee includes one 6’ table (skirted and draped) and 2 chairs. Additional tables are $45 each.   Exhibitors should provide their own extension cord and power strips.  Please note, to be accepted as an exhibitor for NMEA 2008, you must also pay Full Conference Registration as a participant by the end of early registration.  Full Conference Registration includes all meals.

Conference Sponsorships
As exhibitors you are invited to help sponsor the conference through additional contributions.  Recognition for contributions will be offered in various ways. Please refer to  Sponsorships for more information.  We welcome your support. 

Auction Donations
On Tuesday evening, the annual silent and live auction featuring items with an environmental/ ocean theme will take place at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront. Please plan to attend and contribute an item or two. If you are not able to attend, we invite you to make a tax-deductible donation to the annual auction. Auction proceeds support future NMEA conference scholarships.

To Register as an Exhibitor
To register as an exhibitor for the NMEA 2008 Conference in Savannah, submit the Exhibitor Registration form with payment.  Exhibit space is limited. Exhibit Registration closes May 25, 2008. Full Conference registration is open and ends June 1.  Full conference registration includes all meals and special events.  All exhibitors are required to register for the conference.
