The Georgia Association of Marine Education looks forward to your visit in Savannah for NMEA 2008:  One World, One Water, July 21-24.  The NMEA 2008 Auction will be held Tuesday, July 22, alongside the Annual Banquet.  Join us for a lively evening of fine food, fun and fundraising!

A large portion of our planning goes towards holding the annual NMEA Fundraising Auction which raises money to support and replenish the NMEA Scholarship Program.  Download the scholarship application form here.

We invite and encourage you to donate items NMEA 2008 Auction.  If you’re cleaning out your closet or garage this spring, keep us in mind!   If you know individuals, business, or community organizations that might like to donate and item or event, please let one of the NMEA 2008 Auction Committee members know. 

We are looking for Live Auction items valued at $100 or more. Donated items from previous auctions include fine art, computers, digital cameras, vacation packages, field equipment, dinners for two, and group tour opportunities. 

The Silent Auction features items with a coastal, ocean or environmental theme that range in value from $10 to $100.  We will have a special section for educational materials, books, cd’s, etc.  Baskets containing a variety items related to particular theme are popular also.

NMEA 2008 Auction Committee members are available to assist you with your donation directly or you may print out and use the online form below to describe your donation.  You’ll find Auction Committee members listed on the form.

NMEA Chapter Basket Challenge!
The members of the Georgia Association of Marine Education (GAME) challenge all NMEA state chapters to provide a fantastic basket that represents their chapter and state (s).  Baskets should be $50 -100 dollars in value and will be entered in the Silent Auction.  The basket that earns the highest bid during the silent auction will win a special NMEA 2008 prize!  If you have questions about the Chapter Basket Challenge, contact Anne Lindsay Frick at lindsaya@uga.edu.
