Money is tight everywhere, save a few dollars with these money saving tips.

• Apply for a NMEA scholarship!
• Find a roommate or two or even three. Use the scuttlebutt listserv to find others interested in sharing a room. The rate at the Glenstone Lodge is the same whether you have one or four people in a room.
• Drive to the conference. Gatlinburg is within a day’s drive for over half of the United States population. Once in Gatlinburg you can park for free at the Glenstone Lodge and utilize the transportation services provided by the conference.
• If you fly, don’t rent a car from the airport. Take the shuttle from the airport to Gatlinburg. You can ride the trolley while in Gatlinburg and utilize the transportation services provided by the conference.
• Make it a family vacation. There is so much to do for kids of all ages. Come early or stay late, but be sure you come! While your family plays, you get to experience the conference, and your trip just might qualify as a tax write-off.
